FAQs Coasteering

Coasteering is amazing! Explore Ireland’s west coast up close from a completely unique angle. Coasteering is a combination of adventure swimming, climbing, scrambling and cliff jumping where you will be exploring gullies, caves, cracks and different rock formations created by the sea.

Every Coasteering session is different and we use an amazing location that our expert guides know inside out to insure we will provide you with an amazing and safe Coasteering session in Connemara.

Coasteering can be for everyone, we will tailor each session to suit the groups sense of adventure, fitness, and ability. This is an action packed, adrenaline pumping activity and is our most popular new activity at Real Adventures, one not to be missed whilst your visiting Connemara.

We will provide you with all the necessary equipment including wetsuits, buoyancy aids, helmets and safety equipment. All you need to bring is a towel, swimming togs/shorts, a second pair of old shorts to go over your wetsuit, an old pair of shoes you don’t mind getting wet and a sense of adventure!

Ballyconneely – The village of Ballyconneely is located on the R341 coast road between Clifden and Roundstone. Please aim to be there 15 mins prior to the activity start time.  You will be met in the car park across the road from Keogh’s bar, once we have everyone in the group we will drive in convoy to the coasteering start point which is about 15 mins by car.

Please make sure you know where you are going.  If you are late and there are other people in the group we will go on without you!   We will also not be held responsible for you missing out on your session.
