Accommodation in Connemara
There’s a great variety of places to rest your head in the Connemara area, from 5 star castles, to funky bunk rooms. Hotels and guesthouses are popular choices, but there’s an increasing number of self catering cottages and apartments on the market, so there’s something to suit all tastes and budgets.
The Atlantic Coast Hotel
This hotel has views over Clifden Bay to the rear and looks out over Clifden main street to the front. A nice cosy hotel, that is good value for money. The perfect location if you want to be close to the pubs and restaurants in town. Good home cooking in the restaurant and bands play in the bar most nights during the summer.
Connemara Sands – Beach Hotel & Spa
The newly renovated Connemara Sands Hotel is the location for our Mannin Bay Kayaking
The large rooms are fitted out to the highest standard. The on-site spa offers relaxing seaweed baths.
The spa treatments use Voya products, made in Sligo with Irish seaweed, which are so, so good!
Clifden Station House Hotel
The Station House Hotel enjoys a great location, just off the main area of Clifden town. It’s quiet, but you’re still close to all the shops, pubs and restaurants. Though the Station House has its own bar, restaurant, pool and leisure centre, you might not need to go anywhere! Great for groups and families.
Clifden EcoBeach Camping
This natural and unspoilt camping site rolls right into the sea. With its own private beach, there’s no better place to be on a warm summer’s night. Enjoy a walk along the shoreline to Omey Island and the townland of Claddaghduff.
They welcome tents, caravans and motorhomes. Plots are quite private and well spaced apart. They are Ireland’s first Climate Neutral Accommodation and have won numerous awards for their environmental credentials.
